Terms and Conditions of Sale
1. General Overview
By booking a tour through our platform, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms are in place to ensure a smooth experience for both the clients and the freelance guides offering the tours.
2. Booking and Payment
All bookings must be made via our online platform. Payment must be received in full at the time of booking. A confirmation email will be sent after the payment is processed.
3. Tour Modifications or Cancellations by Us
We reserve the right to cancel or modify a tour up to 24 hours prior to the scheduled start time for reasons including but not limited to guide unavailability, site closures, strikes, security concerns, or unforeseen issues at the site (e.g., partly closed exhibitions). In the event of such a cancellation, clients will receive a full refund of the total amount paid.
In cases where the tour is disrupted or modified during the visit for reasons such as the absence of the guide, site-related issues, or any other reasons beyond our control (e.g., partial closures, strikes), the refund amount will be equal to the total amount paid minus the cost of tickets and DDP.
4. Client Cancellations
Clients may cancel their tour up to 48 hours before the tour’s start time for a full refund, minus the cost of tickets and DDP. Cancellations received less than 48 hours before the tour’s start time are not eligible for a refund.
5. Mobility Issues
Clients with mobility challenges must book private tours. Semi-private tours are not tailored to accommodate mobility issues. Private tours will prioritize access to elevators and other necessary accommodations within the museum or site.
6. Age Restrictions
If it is discovered that a person declared as a child on the booking is in fact 18 years or older, no refund will be issued in case of tour cancellations, delays, or interruptions related to this issue.
7. Pickpockets and Personal Belongings
We advise all clients to be vigilant of pickpockets, as these incidents are common in public tourist sites. Neither the guides nor the platform can be held responsible for any losses due to theft.
8. Headset Loss
Clients are responsible for any headsets distributed during the tour. If a headset is lost or not returned, the client will be charged €40 per missing headset, payable immediately.
9. Force Majeure
We cannot be held responsible for any cancellations, delays, or changes due to force majeure events, including but not limited to natural disasters, public health concerns, or government-imposed restrictions.
10. Liability
While every effort is made to provide accurate and comprehensive tours, the platform and its freelance guides shall not be held liable for any issues arising from incorrect information, missed sites, or delays. The maximum liability is limited to the amount paid by the client for the tour.
By proceeding with the booking, you confirm that you have read and agreed to these terms and conditions.
